The students did a terrific job on Friday, I was very pleased with their performance on the field and in the stands. Thanks again to all of the parent volunteers that helped out at the game on Friday. This week we will be taking a pep band to Gulfport. Students signed up to attend the pep band game through a link on Google classroom. There are a few spots available if they want to attend.
We will be starting a fundraiser next week that has the potential to raise $8,000-$10,000 for our program. We will be selling stainless steel insulated tumblers with logos for professional and NCAA sports teams on them. These tumblers are equivalent of YETI/Orca type products and we are selling them for $25 each (we will make $10 of each tumbler we sell). This fundraiser will be a 59-minute fundraiser that we will hold after the rehearsal (6pm-7pm) on Monday, September 9th. We need everyone to participate to make this fundraiser successful - details will be discussed tomorrow at the Booster Meeting.
Tomorrow we will have our September Band Booster Meeting at 6:00 in the HS Band Hall. The main topic of the meeting will be Groovin' in the Grove which is coming up NEXT MONTH! We need everyone to be at the meeting so that the event will be well planned and well run.
Pep band members will wear dri-fit shirt and shorts for the game on Friday. We will leave campus at 4:30 and we should be back between 11:30 and midnight.

Band Camp Reminders
The second week of full camp begins tomorrow! Guard and Percussion Rehearses from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Thursday. Winds rehearse from 6pm-10pm Monday-Thursday.
Senior banner make-up pictures start @ 1:30, full band pictures start at 3:00. Seniors, you should plan on being at the band hall by 1:00 so you are able to change. All other band students should be at the band hall by 2:15 to change and get lined up for the full band picture @ 3:00. I will send home picture envelopes on Monday for families that wish to purchase pictures - bring your payment in the envelope to turn into the photographer. Senior banners cost $105, the cost for band pictures varies depending on what you order (students are NOT REQUIRED to buy pictures. All prices are listed on the envelopes that will be sent home on Monday.
Our Parent and Family Camp Performance will be on Friday night at 6:00pm (as of now on the Practice Field. Bring lawn chairs if you would like to sit down - we will have a brief parent meeting in the band hall following the performance.
